Job summary

St Bede's and St Joseph's Catholic College in Bradford is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join the SEND and Inclusion team. The role focuses on one-to-one and small-group support for students with SEND and EAL, helping them engage with learning and develop independence.

You will work 35 hours a week, term-time only plus two days, across two college sites. A Level 2 qualification and GCSEs are required, with strong IT skills and a commitment to inclusion.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to inclusion and supporting young people.
• Good IT skills and comfortable using school software and devices.
• Ability to work with students with a wide range of needs and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Support identified students individually and in small groups.
• Deliver learning activities, mentoring sessions and targeted interventions.
• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to students and teachers.
• Assist with planning and implementing learning, care and support programmes.
• Create an orderly, inclusive learning environment and promote positive behaviour.
• Provide First Aid support when necessary and liaise with staff and parents.
