Job summary

St Bede’s and St Joseph’s Catholic College in Bradford seeks a Learning Support Assistant to join the SEND and Inclusion team. You will provide targeted support to students with SEND and EAL, helping them engage with learning and develop independence.

The role covers two college sites, with 35 hours per week, term-time plus two days, and a fixed start date. A supportive environment and DBS checks are included.

Qualifications

• NQF Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience.
• GCSE English and Maths (C/4 or above).
• Good IT skills and commitment to inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to SEND and EAL students.
• Deliver learning activities, mentoring and targeted interventions.
• Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Support teachers with agreed learning, care and support programmes.
• Help create an orderly, inclusive learning environment.
• Promote positive behaviour, self-esteem and independent learning.
