Job summary

Heart of Worcestershire College is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join the CORE team at Worcester campus. You will provide tailored learning support for learners with additional needs, helping them engage and progress, both in specialist and mainstream settings.

You’ll work with lecturers to assess needs, plan interventions, monitor progress, and maintain accurate records, with safeguarding and health and safety compliance. Some travel across HoW sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with additional needs.
• Ability to work with learners with autism, mental health conditions, or learning difficulties.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to plan effective interventions.
• Maintain records and promote attendance and achievement.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored one-to-one and group learning support for learners with additional needs.
• Support learners with specialist needs within both specialist and mainstream settings.
• Work with lecturers to assess needs, plan interventions, monitor progress, and contribute to learning targets.
• Maintain accurate records and promote learner engagement and achievement, including Functional Skills.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, equality and diversity compliance.
