Job summary

Victoria Primary Academy in Wellingborough is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support teachers and enable identified pupils with additional needs to achieve their full potential. The role is term-time plus 5 days, 30 hours 50 minutes per week across 39 weeks per year.

The successful candidate will require Level 2 English & Maths and a Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject, with a commitment to inclusion and safeguarding. The school emphasises integrity, resilience and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
• Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject or demonstrable experience of working with or caring for children with special needs.
• Physically fit.
• Flexible and responsive with the ability to address potentially challenging situations.
• Commitment to deliver first class support to staff and pupils.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day requirements of individual children with special needs.
• Support teachers to enable identified pupils to achieve their full potential.
• Work across year groups as needed.
