Job summary

Northern Education Trust is seeking four Teaching Assistants to join Dyke House Academy. You will support interventions with students needing additional mentoring to reach GCSEs, and work with small groups and individuals across Key Stage 3 and 4 as required.

Your focus is to promote learning and welfare by providing practical support, including support for students with special needs, under a teacher or Inclusion Manager guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with special needs.
• Ability to deliver targeted interventions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver interventions: prepare and deliver targeted programs for individuals and small groups.
• Mentor students: discuss progress and develop intervention materials, maintain progress logs.
• Assist class teachers with planning, monitoring and evaluating learning objectives.
• Support literacy, language and reasoning development and help with assignments.
