Job summary

Reed is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work across schools in Worthing and surrounding areas, offering flexible opportunities in Primary, Secondary and Specialist provisions.

You will provide one-to-one and small group support, assist with students with additional needs, promote wellbeing, and help with social and emotional development while working closely with teachers and families.

Qualifications

• Positive, patient and caring approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with young people
• Experience with children or vulnerable individuals is advantageous but not essential
• Genuine passion for supporting education and student development
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service desirable (or willingness to obtain one)

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and small group support
• Assisting students with additional needs, including SEND
• Supporting classroom activities and lesson delivery
• Encouraging student engagement and participation
• Promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing
• Helping students develop social and emotional skills
• Working collaboratively with teachers, parents and support staff
