Job summary

Academics is seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to support partner primary schools across Aldershot, Surrey and the surrounding areas. Roles range from daily supply to long-term contracts, designed to fit around individual circumstances and career goals.

You will support teachers in delivering lessons, provide 1:1 or small group support, assist pupils with SEND, and help foster a positive, inclusive learning environment while promoting good behaviour and progress.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school or educational setting is desirable.
• DBS Update Service (or willingness to apply) is preferred.
• Good understanding of the primary curriculum is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils.
• Assist pupils with additional learning needs (SEND).
• Help create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Promote positive behaviour and support classroom management.
• Support the well-being and academic progress of all pupils.
