Job summary

Parkland Primary School South Wigston is seeking a caring Learning Support Assistant to join a dedicated teaching team. You will support pupils’ learning and wellbeing, helping every pupil reach their full potential in a positive classroom environment.

The role is fixed term for the 2026/2027 academic year, 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:40–15:10 with a 30-minute lunch break, at Parkland Primary School South Wigston.

Qualifications

• Understanding of child protection and health & safety procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage students.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lessons.
• Assist individuals and small groups with learning activities.
• Provide feedback on pupil engagement and progress.
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional development.
• Prepare and use learning materials, including ICT resources.
• Help create stimulating classroom displays.
