Job summary

Hartpury University and Hartpury College are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to provide academic and practical support to students. You will assist lecturers, contribute to planning learning support, and promote student independence and engagement in learning.

The role requires a Level 2 qualification in literacy or English, with experience working with young people aged 16+. Flexible working options are available, and wellbeing and staff benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in literacy skills, English or related area.
• Experience working with young people aged 16+ is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with appropriate academic and practical support both in and out of the classroom.
• Support Lecturers and Tutors in meeting individual student needs.
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of learning support within the College.
• Promote student independence, confidence and engagement in learning.
• Work collaboratively with staff to ensure an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records to support student achievement and welfare.
