Job summary

Farndon Fields Primary School is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work with our teaching team and help pupils reach their full potential. You will support lesson delivery and assist individuals and groups to ensure inclusive learning.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or STL Level 2 NOS.

About this Role

Learning Support Assistant

Farndon Fields Primary School

Salary: Grade 5 Pay Point 7-8 (£25,191 - £25,590 per annum, approximate starting salary of £13,106.32 per annum)

Hours: 22.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (Term-time only plus Inset days)

Contract Type: Fixed Term until 19 August 2027

Working pattern: Monday to Friday 08.30am to 13:00pm

What We Are Looking For

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) OR ability to meet STL Level 2 National Occupational Standards.
• Experience: Previous experience supporting teaching and learning in a school setting.
• Skills & Knowledge:
  • Understanding of child protection and health & safety procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students.
