Job summary

Farndon Fields Primary School in Market Harborough is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support children's learning and wellbeing. You will work alongside our teaching team to foster a supportive and engaging learning environment where every pupil can reach their full potential.

The role offers 32.5 hours per week across 39 weeks per year, with a fixed-term contract and a starting salary aligned to Grade 5 Pay Point 7–8.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) OR ability to meet STL Level 2 National Occupational Standards.
• Experience: Previous experience supporting teaching and learning in a school setting.
• Skills & Knowledge:
  • Understanding of child protection and health & safety procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students.
