Job summary

ROEDEAN SCHOOL is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to help pupils access the curriculum and participate fully in school life. The role focuses on developing independence, confidence and self-advocacy among learners.

You will work with individuals and small groups in close partnership with teaching staff and the Learning Support team to promote inclusive education and pupil progress.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• A qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Education, SEND or related field would be advantageous.
• Dedicated to removing barriers to learning while promoting pupil autonomy, confidence and self-advocacy.

Responsibilities

• The postholder will support pupils in accessing the curriculum, participating fully in school life and developing increasing independence, confidence and self-advocacy as learners.
• The role will involve supporting individual pupils and small groups in collaboration with teaching staff and the wider Learning Support team.
