Job summary

Roedean is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our Learning Support team. The role supports pupils with additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and participate in school life.

This part-time post is 22 hours per week, Monday to Thursday in term time. Applicants should have GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above; a qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or SEND is advantageous. An enhanced DBS check is required.

The Learning Support Assistant is an integral member of the Learning Support team, working closely with pupils who have additional learning needs and/or SEND. The postholder will support pupils in accessing the curriculum, participating fully in school life and developing increasing independence, confidence and self-advocacy as learners. The role will involve supporting individual pupils and small groups in collaboration with teaching staff and the wider Learning Support team.

The successful candidate will hold GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above. A qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Education, SEND or a related field would be advantageous. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to removing barriers to learning while promoting pupil autonomy, confidence and self-advocacy.
