Job summary

Salford City Academy in Manchester is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support learning across our key stages. You will work with teachers, SEND team and pastoral staff to help remove barriers to education and ensure every student can access the curriculum and thrive in our inclusive school.

The role involves supporting lessons, preparing materials, monitoring progress, and contributing to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in a school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Support students in lessons, individually and in small groups.
• Assist teachers with preparation of learning materials and activities.
• Provide targeted support for students with SEND.
• Promote positive behaviour, resilience and independence.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff.
• Support students' social, emotional and personal development.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Assist with educational visits and school events.
• Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures.
