Oakfield House School is seeking a caring Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will work alongside experienced teachers to deliver a personalised curriculum and support students’ learning, social and emotional development.

In our specialist environment for autistic students, you’ll build positive relationships, monitor progress and help create a nurturing classroom where every student can thrive.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above.
• Passionate about supporting children and young people to reach their potential.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering a broad, engaging curriculum.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to access learning and goals.
• Assist with educational and behavioural programmes for diverse needs.
• Encourage confidence, independence and positive relationships.
• Monitor and record progress; share feedback with the team.
• Prepare learning resources and materials for lessons.
• Promote positive behaviour and a safe, nurturing environment.
• accompany students on educational visits and enrichment activities
