Job summary

Poole High School is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team for 33 hours per week. You will support and promote the development and learning of children with a variety of needs and assist teachers in creating an accessible learning environment.

You will comply with safeguarding policies and contribute to a caring, collaborative school community. Experience with partially sighted children is advantageous; flexibility and teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working with children in and out of the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Support and promote the development and learning of the children with a variety of academic, physical, emotional, behavioural and social needs
• Assist teachers in providing a learning environment that enables all children to access the curriculum and learn to the best of their ability whilst supporting the aims of the school outlined in the school/learning team's philosophy statement
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.
