Job summary

Twynham Learning is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant at Poole High School to support the development and learning of pupils with varied needs. The role involves assisting teachers and contributing to an inclusive classroom where all students can access the curriculum.

You will be part of a supportive team, with term-time hours (33 per week) and a permanent contract. The post offers professional development, on-site parking and membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Qualifications

• Support and promote the development and learning of children with diverse needs.
• Assist teachers to enable all pupils to access the curriculum and learn effectively.
• Promote safeguarding and child protection in line with policies.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning for pupils with academic, physical, emotional or social needs.
• Help create an inclusive classroom environment where all students can engage with the curriculum.
• Contribute to safeguarding and welfare practices within the school.
