Responsibilities

• Ensure learners with additional support needs are effectively supported in learning activities and that records are maintained to a high standard.
• Communicate with learners to clarify support arrangements prior to learning activities.
• Adopt strategies to help learners become more independent in classroom, workshop, learning centre, college and community.
• Assist with personal care needs including administration of medication and toileting, changing and bathing as required with appropriate training.
• Communicate with teaching staff to clarify learner support arrangements prior to learning activities.
• Assist staff in preparing and adapting learning materials for individual learners.
• Maintain confidentiality of learner information in line with college policy.
