Job summary

Birchfield Community Primary School is seeking a permanent Learning Support Assistant with additional responsibility for providing emotional literacy support (ELSA-style interventions) to pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis. The role focuses on supporting pupils with social, emotional and additional learning needs to build resilience and confidence across the school day.

ELSA training or experience delivering Emotional Literacy Support is essential or advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience of providing 1:1 or small group Emotional Literacy Support (ELS A).
• Ability to support a class teacher/year group across the whole curriculum.
• Willingness to display personal organisation, initiative and a caring nature.

• ideally be able to share experience ofprevious good classroom practice including providing 1:1 and small group EmotionalLiteracy Support
• be able to support the class teacher/yeargroup across the whole curriculum
• have experience of working with their owngroups
• be able to show evidence of relevanttraining.
• display a range of attributes includingpersonal organisation, initiative, enthusiasm and a caring nature
• be flexible, adaptable, and be able toprovide support and challenge
