Job summary

OneSchool Global UK is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant at Knockloughrim Campus to support students academically and personally. The role involves working with teachers and the Learning Support team to provide tailored interventions and resources in a caring, inclusive environment.

You will assist in implementing learning activities, promoting wellbeing, and supporting individual needs, including SEND considerations.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in educational settings.
• Passion for supporting student learning and wellbeing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
• Patience, empathy and flexible approach to individual needs.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently when required.
• GCSEs English and Maths or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support students in accessing the curriculum and participate in lessons.
• Deliver one-to-one and small group learning interventions under supervision.
• Assist with preparation of learning resources and activities.
• Support students with additional learning, emotional, social or behavioural needs.
• Encourage independence, confidence and engagement in learning.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress and provide feedback.
• Promote safe and inclusive learning environments and support individual education plans.
• Supervise students during breaks and school events as appropriate.
• Contribute to the wider life of the campus and school initiatives.
