Job summary

Maltese Road Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic learning support assistant to join a supportive team. The role involves assisting in lessons and running interventions, with 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD, and working with groups and individuals including those with additional needs.

Term-time only, 9.00–12.00, five mornings per week, 15 hours total. Previous experience is desirable but not essential. An enhanced DBS check and references will be required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is desirable but not essential.
• 1:1 support to develop understanding of the world around them.
• Interacting with a wide range of children and using interpersonal skills to maximise learning.

Responsibilities

• Support in lessons and run interventions.
• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD diagnosis.
• Support groups of pupils and individuals including those with additional needs.
• Liaise with other staff and work as part of a team.
