Job summary

Education People is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support a pupil with ASD in a mainstream primary setting in Wiltshire. The role is full-time until the end of the academic year, with potential to continue, starting September, and pays £95-£115 per day dependent on experience.

You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and support staff to help the pupil access learning, regulate emotions, and feel secure within the school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with ASD.
• Ability to support learning while meeting individual needs.
• Patience and resilience in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support within the classroom
• Support emotional regulation and behaviour management
• Adapt learning tasks to meet individual needs
• Implement strategies from EHCP targets
• Liaise with staff and parents where appropriate
