Job summary

Malvern College is recruiting a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant for the Learning Enhancement Department to support a named pupil with ASD and ADHD. This temporary, full-time role runs for 1 year from September 2026 on-site at Malvern College.

You will work closely with staff, SENCo and professionals to deliver tailored academic, pastoral and personal support throughout the school day, ensuring EHCP provisions are implemented and pupil welfare is promoted.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people in educational/pastoral settings.
• Ability to support pupils with complex needs including ASD/ADHD.
• Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one academic support to enable full access to the curriculum.
• In-class assistance and note-taking, task clarification.
• Support preparation for homework, coursework and assessments.
• Promote pupil's social, emotional and psychological wellbeing.
• Liaise with teaching staff, Learning Enhancement colleagues, pastoral and medical teams.
• Maintain confidential records and contribute to reviews.
