Job summary

CASSIDY RECRUITMENT LTD is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for a specialist school in Tottenham. The role focuses on Learning Support for secondary students with learning disabilities, autism and additional SEN.

You will work with teachers and education professionals to provide tailored support across 1:1, small groups and classroom settings. We seek individuals who are passionate about education and making a difference in children’s lives.

SEN Teaching Assistants Wanted in Tottenham.

We are currently working with a specialist SEN school in Tottenham who are looking to recruit 3 x Learning Support Assistant.

Our partner school support secondary aged students with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and additional special educational needs.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about education and making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.

About the Role

As an Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and other education professionals to provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs.

Roles will involve providing 1:1 support, small group support or classroom-based assistance, depending on the needs of the students and school.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting secondary aged students with learning disabilities and additional needs.
• Providing individualised 1:1 and small group support.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Supporting students with autism, communication difficulties and complex needs.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.
• Supporting students with emotional regulation and behaviours that may challenge.
• Helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other education professionals.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, learning disabilities or autism is required.
• Experience within SEN schools, mainstream education, care or support work would be beneficial.
