Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is recruiting dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to work in welcoming Wimbledon schools. You will provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties.

Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs, you will implement effective strategies, promote positive behaviour, and help pupils build confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in SEN.
  • Patient, caring and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to adapt support strategies to pupil needs.
  • Holds a DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one.

Protocol Education is currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistants to work in welcoming and inclusive schools across Wimbledon. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

The Role:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
  • Support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties.
  • Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement support strategies.
  • Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
  • Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN setting.
  • Is patient, caring, and resilient.
  • Has strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Can adapt support strategies to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Holds a DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
