Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a student with autism aged 16-19 in a mainstream school in Havering. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM to 4:00 PM, starting September 2026, with pay £14.25-£16 per hour.

You will work closely with teaching staff to implement learning plans and monitor progress, while supporting personal care when required. A DBS check is required or will be processed by Axcis as needed.

Qualifications

• A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced Child and Adult DBS, or willingness to obtain one.
• Previous experience supporting students with SEND is desirable but not essential.
