Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment in Bromley, South London, is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support post-16 students with SEND at a specialist college. The role runs 8:30am–4:00pm during term time, with pay from £92.63 per day, and a temporary to permanent contract option.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, helping students develop independence, confidence and employability skills in a supportive environment, liaising with teachers and therapists to meet individual learning goals.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young adults with SEND (ASD, ADHD, SEMH).
• Previous experience as LSA/TA or in education/care settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, compassionate, flexible, team-oriented approach.
• Ability to support personal care and promote independent living.

Are you a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

Axcis Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a friendly, well-established specialist college in Bromley, South London. This is a fantastic opportunity to support post-16 students with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, physical disabilities, complex learning difficulties, and communication needs.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll play an important role in helping students develop independence, confidence, employability skills, and academic success within a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• Experience working with children or young adults with SEND, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, physical disabilities, or complex learning needs.
• Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, or within an education or care setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, compassionate, and flexible approach.
• The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Confidence supporting personal care and promoting independent living skills.
• A genuine passion for helping young people reach their full potential.
