Overview

Learning Support Assistant – Harrow. You will work across age groups in our secondary setting, supporting students with a range of additional needs, including: Autism; Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs; Moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD); Speech, language and communication needs (SLCN); Physical disabilities and/or sensory impairments. Support will take place in both small groups and on a one-to-one basis. Some students may present challenging behaviour, so strong de-escalation skills and resilience are essential.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience supporting young people with SEND (essential)
• Training in Manual Handling or Team Teach
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting learners to reach their potential
• Ability to adapt and work flexibly across different learning needs

Details

Contract: 4–5 days per week

Hours: 09:00 – 16:00 (subject to timetable confirmation)

Location: Harrow
