Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to support learners with SEND in Bromley, South London. The role covers vocational subjects and is temporary to permanent, with from £14.25 per hour pay and term-time only schedule.

The successful candidate will work 1:1 or in small groups to develop confidence and employability in cooking, arts, and life skills, within a caring, inclusive setting.

Qualifications

• Positive, patient, and adaptable attitude.
• Experience working with young people or vulnerable adults is desirable.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting learners with additional needs.
• No formal Teaching Assistant qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Support learners with SEND, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and learning difficulties.
• Assist students during vocational lessons such as cooking, creative arts, and life skills activities.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to encourage engagement and independence.

Axcis Education is recruiting an enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist college in Bromley, supporting young people with SEND in a range of vocational subjects, including cooking, independent living skills, arts, and community-based learning. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates from care, support work, childcare, youth work, customer service, or similar backgrounds who are passionate about helping young people achieve their potential.

The Role:
