Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to join a SEN school in West Bridgford, Nottingham on a long-term basis starting in September. This temporary role offers a pathway to permanent opportunities.

This is a great chance for both new and experienced educators to become a familiar face in a school that values staff wellbeing, community and inclusive practice.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEN/education/support settings.
  • Patient, empathetic and resilient attitude with a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
  • Ability to adapt to individual pupil needs and remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities in an educational setting.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider school team.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, addressing individual learning and emotional needs.
  • Help pupils access the curriculum by adapting activities and providing additional support as required.
  • Work with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and implement EHCP targets and support strategies.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages confidence, independence and personal development.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Requirements or Skills:

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
