Job summary

Milk Education in Mansfield is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs at an SEN School on a long-term, September-start basis. This role is temporary and paid within the advertised pay scale.

You will work with the class teacher to deliver lessons, support pupils one-to-one and in small groups, and help pupils access the curriculum while upholding safeguarding and creating a nurturing, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEN/education.
• Patient, empathetic and resilient approach with a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils and remain calm in challenging situations.
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities within an educational setting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider school team.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
