Job summary

The Education Network Birmingham is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for a specialist SEND school in Atherstone. This permanent, full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week across 39 weeks per year with an annual salary of £20,000–£25,000.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, supporting pupils to overcome barriers, build confidence and reach their potential alongside teachers and therapists.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND.
• Able to deliver personalised support in classrooms and activities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised support to pupils with SEND.
• Assist learning inside and outside the classroom.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other professionals.
• Help pupils work towards EHCP outcomes.
• Support communication, independence and emotional development.
• Build positive relationships and resilience.
• Support safeguarding strategies and behaviour management.
• Adapt approaches to individual sensory and learning needs.
• Collaborate with families and colleagues.
