Job summary

Hawkedon Primary School is seeking an inspirational, friendly and driven individual to join our team as a teaching assistant. The role may involve supporting pupils with additional emotional/physical needs and assisting other children in their learning across Reception to Year 6.

Lunchtime support is part of the duties. The successful candidate will bring experience working with children and strong communication, numeracy and literacy skills, with an advantageous background in behaviour

Qualifications

• Some experience of working with children.
• Ability to support children from Reception to Year 6.
• Excellent communication, numeracy & literacy skills.
• Experience of behaviour management and/or interventions would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with additional emotional/physical needs.
• Support other children in the class with their learning.
• Part of the hours will be supporting the children at lunchtime.
