Job summary

Hawkedon Primary School in Reading is seeking an inspirational, friendly and driven individual to join our team as a teaching assistant. You will support pupils across the primary range, including those with additional emotional or physical needs, and assist other children in their learning.

The role includes lunchtime supervision and contributing to a caring, inclusive school community where staff development and growth are valued.

Qualifications

• Have some experience of working with children.
• Ability to support children from Reception to Year 6.
• Have excellent communication, numeracy & literacy skills.
• Experience of behaviour management and/or interventions would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• The position may involve supporting pupils that have additional emotional/physical needs as well as supporting other children in the class with their learning.
• Part of the hours will be supporting the children at lunchtime.
