Job summary

Chalfont Valley Primary Academy seeks a caring Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with learning and development, working closely with teachers to create an inclusive classroom.

You will provide one-to-one and small group support, help with resources and interventions, and contribute to a positive, aspirational learning environment in a welcoming school community.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (preferably in a school or educational setting).
• Good literacy and numeracy skills (minimum GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent).
• Teaching Assistant Qualification.
• Ability to support children with additional needs (SEND) with patience and understanding.
• Teamwork and organisational skills, including the ability to follow instructions and use initiative.

We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our friendly and supportive team at Chalfont Primary School.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning and development, working closely with teachers to help create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment. You will provide both one-to-one and small group support, ensuring all children can access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

Interviews will be held on a rolling basis during the advertising period. Early applications are encouraged, as we may close the vacancy before the advertised closing date if we receive sufficient suitable applications.

Key responsibilities:

Pay range: SCP 4 - 5 £23,761.21 - £24,122.69 (Includes Fringe Allowance) 37 hours, 39 weeks per year

FTE: £27,016.00 - £27,427.00
