St George is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work at our Newport site during term-time. The role involves 31.25 hours per week across 38 weeks, supporting students with High Needs/SEND across SEMH, medical, autism and complex behaviour, with mentoring on a 1-to-1 and small-group basis.
You will help plan and deliver engaging activities, and may undertake specialist training for complex medical interventions.

Based at our main site in Newport
As an LSA you will work with students at St George's School and within the community, with complex medical and behavioural challenges, alongside PMLD/ASC diagnosis. You will support other staff to increase their knowledge of individual needs and work towards implementing specific programs that enable us as a School to respond positively to our students.
Your role will include 1-2-1 and small group mentoring, as well as supporting in the planning and delivery of activities within area. You will also be required to support individuals requiring complex medical interventions and will therefore be required to undertake/update specialist training as necessary.
