Job summary

St Alban’s Catholic Primary School is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with SEN from September 2026 in a caring Catholic school community. The role is term-time only, with 32.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri 8.30am-3.30pm) over 39 weeks per year, and a PS3 FTE salary (£25,133.00pa) with pro rata £19,521.09pa.

Contract: Term Time Only, permanent Contracted Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm, total of 32.5 hours, 39 weeks per year Salary Scale: PS3 FTE £25,133.00pa, actual/pro rata salary £19,521.09 pa

The successful candidate will:

• have experience of supporting pupils with SEN and utilising strategies to manage behaviours and meet needs, including supporting speech and language have awareness of Child Safeguarding and the latest SEN policies to implement effective provision, including working with outside agencies to deliver EHCP provisionsbe compassionate and dedicated to provide one-on-one support to a student with EHCPs have the ability to work as part of the team as well as through their initiative make a notable impact on the quality of learning in a lesson be flexible, adaptable, patient and be a good team player possess good literacy and numeracy skills maintain confidentiality inside and outside of the school
