Job summary

Academics is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Chatham, Medway area. You will support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, building positive relationships with students and staff.

The role requires experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting, with a patient and nurturing approach, and driving is preferred due to location. DBS checks and references are essential. Hours are 8:30am-3:30pm, term-time, Full-time contract.

Qualifications

• Fully enhanced DBS required.
• DBS Update Service evidence or willingness to apply for a new DBS.
• Suitable references and safeguarding checks required.

LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Location: Chatham, Medway

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm

Contract: Full-time

Year Groups: KS1 & KS2

We are currently looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Chatham, Medway area, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with their learning, development and wellbeing, and who can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant within a school setting
• Experience supporting children across KS1 and/or KS2
• A patient, nurturing and supportive approach
• The ability to work confidently as part of a school teamGood communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant qualifications are preferred
• Driving is preferred due to the location/accessibility of the role

Essential Safeguarding Requirements:

• A fully enhanced DBS is required
• Candidates should either be registered on the DBS Update Service or be willing to apply for a new enhanced DBS
• Suitable references and safeguarding checks will be required

Working Hours

8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Full standard school day, term time.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy
