Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Chesham area starting this September. This full-time role focuses on helping pupils engage with learning, develop confidence, and progress academically and socially.

You will work with teachers to support pupils in classrooms and smaller groups, promoting inclusive education and safeguarding throughout the school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or within an educational setting.
• Passion for the development of learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Inclusive ethics.
• Knowledge/maintenance/promotion of safeguarding.
• Enhanced DBS check required throughout employment and compliance with safer recruitment standards.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with their learning and development in the classroom.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.
• Assist teachers with the delivery of engaging learning activities.
• Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs where appropriate.
• Contribute to extra-curricular activities and after-school clubs.
• Cooperate with colleagues to deliver the best possible outcomes.

Supply Desk are seeking a professional, caring, and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the Chesham area, starting this September.

This full-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children and helping them overcome barriers to learning. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, adaptable, and committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment where every pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential.

You will work closely with teachers and other members of staff to support pupils both within the classroom and, where appropriate, on a one-to-one or small-group basis. You will help pupils engage with their learning, develop their confidence and independence, and make positive progress both academically and socially.
