Job summary

Academics is seeking a Learning Support Assistant in Chatham to support children across KS1 and KS2. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm during term time, within a welcoming school environment.

The successful candidate will assist with learning, development and wellbeing, build positive relationships with pupils and staff, and contribute to a safe and supportive classroom community.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
• Experience supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2.
• Patient, nurturing and supportive approach.
• Ability to work confidently as part of a school team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across KS1 & KS2 with learning activities.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Assist with pupil wellbeing and development.

LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Location: Chatham, Medway
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Contract: Full-time
Year Groups: KS1 & KS2

We are currently looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Chatham, Medway area, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with their learning, development and wellbeing, and who can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant within a school setting
• Experience supporting children across KS1 and or KS2
• A patient, nurturing and supportive approach
• The ability to work confidently as part of a school team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant qualifications are preferred
• Driving is preferred due to the location/accessibility of the role

Essential Safeguarding Requirements:

• A fully enhanced DBS is required
• Candidates should either be registered on the DBS Update Service or be willing to apply for a new enhanced DBS
• Suitable references and safeguarding checks will be required

Working Hours

8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Full standard school day, term time.
