Job summary

Career Teachers in South West London are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join secondary schools starting asap and for September 2026. You will work with teachers to provide a safe, supportive environment, deliver targeted interventions and help students access the curriculum across KS3–KS5.

Successful candidates will have prior LSA/TA or SEN TA experience in a school setting, live within a commutable distance of South West London, and be ready to support across subjects.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school as an LSA/Teaching Assistant/SEN TA.
• Experience in secondary or further education, or as a tutor.
• Must live within commutable distance of South West London.
• Ideally experience supporting students with personal care needs.

• Support and supervise the use of equipment specific to a child's needs.

• Willingness to support across the curriculum in different subject areas.

LSA's required for secondary schools in South West London areas to start asap and September 2026

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with teachers and support staff to provide a safe and supportive environment for students to learn both individually and in small groups.
• Monitor and record impact of interventions including short term achievable targets for priority areas of learning.
• Supporting and supervising the use of the equipment specific to child's needs.
• Ensure that students have opportunities to develop their skills as an independent learner.
• Support students in and out of lessons (KS3, KS4 and KS5)
• Willingness to support across the curriculum in different subject areas
• You must have previous experience of working within school as an LSA, Teaching Assistant or SEN TA
• Must have some experience of working within secondary or further education, or as a Tutor
• Must live within commutable distance of South West London
• Ideally, you will have previous experience of supporting with Personal Care needs of students
