Job summary

Teach South Sussex is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a primary school in Littlehampton. This full-time, temporary contract runs from September until December, with potential extension.

You will support pupils from Reception to Year 3, working both in the dedicated SEN Centre and mainstream classrooms. You will help children with additional needs access learning, build confidence and reach their full potential.

Qualifications

  • Experience with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting, or prior SEN experience.
  • A patient, caring and positive approach to supporting young learners.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

Teach South Sussex are currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Littlehampton from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils from Reception to Year 3, working both within the school's dedicated SEN Centre and in mainstream classrooms. You'll play a key role in helping children with additional needs to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential in a supportive and nurturing environment. The role is full time, starting in September and continuing until December, with a strong possibility of being extended into the new year for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have: Experience working with children in a school, childcare or similar setting, or previous SEN experience. Confidence supporting children with a range of additional learning needs. A proactive attitude and willingness to work as part of a supportive school team.
