As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support our teachers in delivering creative teaching approaches tailored to students’ educational needs, maximising their achievement and development. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to start or continue a career in Education, motivated to inspire learning among pupils with diverse and complex needs. You will work in a school that maintains a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected, and involved in decision-making.
Responsibilities include working with pupils individually or in small groups, preparing classrooms and materials, and building positive relationships to promote engagement and learning. Experience in an SEN/ASC environment is desirable but not essential; support skills, motivation, resilience, and personal qualities are equally important.
Copper Fields School provides specialist education for up to 60 pupils aged 4-16 with autism spectrum and additional needs.
