Job summary

The King's Academy in Gosport is seeking a dedicated individual to support pupils with a range of SEND needs in class, small groups and one-to-one settings.

You will help students develop confidence, independence and engagement, collaborating with teachers and the SENCo to implement Learning Plans and safeguard pupil wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND or a similar role.
• Ability to create safe, inclusive learning environments.
• Strong communication with staff, pupils and carers.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships by encouraging and supporting pupils in a respectful, non-judgmental manner.
• Work with students in class, small groups, and on a one-to-one basis.
• Support pupils with SEND needs including Cognition and Learning, Communication and Interaction, Physical and Sensory Needs, and SEMH.
• Provide tailored support from mobility and access to resources, helping students regulate emotions and engage with learning.
