Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an LSA for a SEND school in Stourbridge. The role involves supporting pupils with Autism and other needs in the classroom and through practical, off-site activities.

The successful candidate will have LSA or SEND experience, a patient and adaptable approach, and confidence with outdoor learning and vocational activities. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).
• Experience working as an LSA or in SEND support.

Responsibilities

West Midlands/ temporary / £90 - 110 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a highly engaging SEND school in Stourbridge that provides a broad and practical curriculum, with a strong focus on outdoor learning and vocational experiences. This LSA role is based within a nurturing and structured environment where pupils are supported to develop independence, confidence and essential life skills.

This long-term LSA position is available for an ASAP start. The successful LSA will be supporting pupils with Autism (ASD), mild learning difficulties and more complex needs, both in the classroom and through practical, off-site and vocational activities. The LSA will play a key role in helping learners access education in a meaningful and accessible way.

The successful LSA will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
• Experience working as an LSA or in a similar SEND support role
• Experience supporting children with Autism (ASD) and complex learning needs
• Strong behaviour management and the ability to build positive relationships
• Confidence supporting outdoor learning and vocational activities
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
