Are you an experienced Support Worker or Teaching Assistant seeking a role in Specialist Education?

A special school in Knaresborough is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team. The school caters for children and young people aged 3 to 16 years with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Downs Syndrome, and Complex Medical Needs.

They are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join them on a Monday to Friday basis to support with some extra pupils joining the school. The start date is expected in September.

Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant include:

1. Building strong rapport with pupils and supporting behaviour management when required.
2. Working alongside the class Teacher with daily routines.
3. Assisting in delivering engaging lessons and stimulating activities to enhance learning and sensory development.
4. Supporting pupils' needs in accordance with their care plans.
