Job summary

The Parker Academy in Daventry is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to support high-quality teaching and learning. You will work under the direction of the classroom teacher to help create a positive learning environment and assist with planned activities.

Role includes supervising pupils, supporting those with special needs, and helping with Individual Education/Behaviour plans under supervision. Strong commitment to student wellbeing is essential.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalent.
• TA2 qualification or equivalent or relevant experience.
• Relevant educational experience supporting a child/children in a school setting and the relevant age range.

Responsibilities

• Implement planned learning activities as agreed with the teacher.
• Support pupils in social and emotional well-being and report problems to the teacher.
• Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact according to individual needs.

In this role, you will work closely with teachers to support high-quality teaching and learning, providing both general and targeted assistance to pupils and staff. You will operate under the direction, guidance, and supervision of the classroom teacher to help create a positive and effective learning environment.,

• Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
• Implement planned learning activities/teacher programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils' responses as appropriate
• Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate
• Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs
• Assist with the implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs under the supervision and guidance of teaching staff GCSE Maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalent
• TA2 qualification or equivalent or relevant experience
