Job summary

Tiptree Heath Primary School, part of Quantum Multi Academy Trust, is seeking a learning support assistant for 15 hours a week during term time, with days to be confirmed.

You will join a friendly team, support in EYFS/KS1, possibly undertake an MDA role at midday, and work under teachers to help pupils, including those with SEND. GCSE English and Maths are desirable.

Qualifications

• Good numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE or equivalent in English and maths highly desirable).
• Experience with supporting children with SEND is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in EYFS/KS1 classrooms under teacher supervision.
• Support a pupil with SEND as required to enable participation.
• Interact with children to help them reach their full potential and promote inclusivity.
• Liaise with staff to ensure consistent, positive behaviour management.

Tiptree Heath Primary School is part of the Quantum Multi Academy Trust and is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and capable learning support assistant who will have a positive impact on the children that they work with. Previous experience of working with children with a range of SEND is desirable. You will be joining a team of hard‑working, friendly and adaptable LSAs, working under the direction of class teachers, supporting in the classroom.

We are seeking to appoint an LSA to work with a pupil in EYFS/Key Stage 1. This will be for 15 hours a week, three hours a day. Suitable candidates will be able to interact with a variety of children and use their own interpersonal skills to help children reach their full potential. The job may encompass an MDA (midday assistant) role.

Successful applicants will need to be able to work collaboratively, and liaise professionally, with other staff members. They will be organised, flexible and understand the professional nature of the role. An understanding of the importance of positive behaviour management, recognition that every pupil is an individual and advocating inclusivity are also key elements to success.
