Job summary

Kings International College in Camberley, part of Bourne Education Trust, is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to provide targeted pupil support under teachers' guidance to raise achievement and develop independent learners.

Term-time, permanent role: 30 hours/week across 37 weeks per year, starting September 2026. BET offers training and development and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) required.
  • Demonstrated safeguarding awareness and commitment to child protection.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team to support teaching provision and learning for pupils.
  • Facilitate learning for individual pupils and groups, promoting positive attitudes to learning.
  • Prepare, plan and deliver targeted intervention programmes and adjust activities to pupil needs.

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Kings International College, part of Bourne Education Trust.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide highly effective, targeted provision and care to pupils, in support of and under the guidance of Teachers and Senior Leaders, in order to raise standards of achievement for pupils to become independent learners.

Details

Position: Learning Support Assistant

Contract: Term time, permanent

Hours: 30 hours per week, 37 weeks per year (Mon - Fri, 8.30 - 3pm). We would consider part-time on a job share basis.

Start Date: September 2026

Salary: Support Pay Scale 3 (Fringe): £17,094 Actual, £25,133 FTE

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Working as part of a team, under the direction of the responsible Teacher, support teaching provision, development and implementation of learning for pupils
  • Under the guidance of the responsible Teacher, facilitate the learning of individual pupils and groups, setting high expectations and promoting positive attitudes to learning
  • Prepare, plan and deliver specific intervention programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil response and need
Essential Requirements include
  • Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent appropriate qualification)
