Job summary

Kings International College in Camberley is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to provide targeted provision and care to pupils, under the guidance of teachers and senior leaders, to raise achievement and foster independent learners.

The role includes supporting classrooms, planning and delivering intervention programmes, and helping create a safe, inclusive learning environment with wellbeing and development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Essential GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Ability to support pupils with diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to work within a team under teacher guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Support teaching provision under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Develop and implement learning activities and interventions for pupils.
  • Plan and deliver specific intervention programmes as needed.

Details

Position: Learning Support AssistantContract: Term time, permanent. Hours: 30 hours per week (Mon - Fri 8.30am - 3pm). Part time would be considered on a job share basis.Start Date: September 2026Salary: Support Pay Scale 3 (Fringe): £17,094 Actual, £25,133 FTE

Key responsibilities include

Working as part of a team, under the direction of the responsible Teacher, support teaching provision, development and implementation of learning for pupilsUnder the guidance of the responsible Teacher, facilitate the learning of individual pupils and groups, setting high expectations and promoting positive attitudes to learningPrepare, plan and deliver specific intervention programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil response and need

EssentialAbility to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of childrenGCSE English and Maths (or equivalent appropriate qualification)
